It was a time when ‘Paruthi Veeran’ work was at a nascent stage. Ameer was on his trip to Cannes, as his film ‘Ram’ with Jeeva in the lead role was selected to be screened in the Cannes Festival. Since he needed a person to help him out in conversing in English he took his new hero ‘Karthi’ with him to Cannes.
‘Paruthi Veeran’ has become a hit but the relationship between the hero and the director became strained thanks to the tussle between Sivakumar family and Ameer on financial matters.
Coming to the moment, Ameer has gone to Berlin Film Festival, where ‘Paruthi Veeran’was screened. He went there with a friend. The films were honored at the fest with a “special mention” and the happy tiding was conveyed to Karthi, who was shooting for Selvaraghavan’s ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’. Karthi, without pausing for a thought went straight to Berlin where he met Ameer and conveyed his greetings. He also expressed his gratitude to the director who has made this honor possible.
Now, it seems, both have buried their differences and become friends once more. Berlin Festival has become a point of union for these old buddies!
