Mallika stared only in three films in the year 2007 that too as a cameo appearances and supporting roles. All the three movies were money spinners. Guru, Aap ka Suroor and Welcome were all blockbuster hits. This year is going to be special for her because she is starring in three major movies namely Ugly and Pagli, Maan Gaye Mugal-e-Azam and of course, the Tamil movie 'Dasavatharam'. In all these movies she is playing important roles. Among those three movies, 'Dasavatharam' is the most important one for her. It is a big budget film and she is one of the lead heroines in that movie. Alleged reports suggest that she is playing a CID role in 'Dasavatharam', the movie in which Kamal Hasan is playing as many as ten roles.

Pongal releases aftermath

Several movies released this Pongal and only a few of them are worth to watch. Even though I've not seen any movie in the first day (this time), I got some information about each and every film through my friends network. 'Bheema' was well below expectations. My friends are fans of Vikram and even Trisha, but they said that they are disappointed. Simbhu's movie 'Kaalai' is said to moderate and can be watched without much regrets. Madhavan's film and Cheran's are family based stories and they are also worth watching. Pazhani - no comments. The other movies are only OK and does not have much repeat value. Anyway good work done by all of them.Happy Pongal to one and all!! Watch it only in the theaters.

Nayagan releases tomorrow

This is the most hyped film and much is expected from J.K.Ritheesh, the Nayagan of this movie. His previous film 'Kaanal Neer' was a block buster in Tamil Nadu and his performance was excellent in that. Fans are hoping that he will continue the same performance in this movie too and will equal the old gem,'Nayagan' done by Kamal Hasan. I'm planning to go for that movie, if by chance I get hands on the ticket, then it will be a real treat for this Pongal. Hope you all see that movie in theaters. Sultan the warrior

Soundarya Rajnikanth, the director of the next Rajni film and also the super star's daughter, told in a press conference that pre-production for the movie , "Sultan - the warrior" was complete and will hit the screen by this year end. She was in Chennai to record the voice of her father who is the Sultan of this movie. She also added that the film will meet all the expectations of the fan. She pointed out that Rajnikanth is the first Asian actor to be animated and she expressed her pride in doing so. She admitted that she herself is an ardent fan of Rajnikanth. So no price for guessing, who is going to be the Sultan of 2008.

Salman Khan in Wax

Madame Tussads is set to unveil the wax statue of the Bollywood hero, Salman Khan. So for that function Salman Khan has left along with Katrina Kaif. Last year wax statues of Amitabh Bachan and Shah Rukh Khan were unveiled. So now Salman can be proud and the media rumors about Salman - Kat split is also refuted by this visit.

We are all aware that Vijaykanth's marriage hall and his engineering college are named as 'Aandal Azhagar' but only a few of us know that these names are actually his parents' names. He is having a desire of making his own film in this name so that it would be a tribute to his parents. But unfortunately, there is already film called 'Aandal Azhagar' in the making. This film does not have huge star cast and reputition. Director Magadurai is making it with relatively new faces. There are no protests from captain's side because these are the names of Gods worshiped widely in Madurai. Vijaykanth might feel that this film could also be a tribute to his parents.
